Allow users to edit there own threads?

Each user get 2mins to edit there own threads. Standard pratice on most forums. I will look to extend this to say 5mins but no more.

I have three different forums running and I moderate on two others I none of them have this selected - no problem it is up to you.

I have also been a moderator in the past for a few forums and currently active on several forums (too many to count) and only one has no time limits on users editing own post.
Over the last week I've been looking into the pros and cons for allowing this and there are good arguments on both sides. With this in mind I has extended the edit period to one hour - this allows for spelling typos etc. After this time users can request a mod to edit posts for updating urls that have changed etc. ATB |
